Arthur A. Sponseller is an executive and leadership coach specializing in unlocking potential for leaders at all levels and in organizations of all types and sizes.

Prior to coaching, Mr. Sponseller was a long serving senior executive in healthcare. He retired as President/Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California (Hospital Council), in 2018. The Council, a trade association, represents more than 190 hospitals and health systems in 50 of California’s 58 Counties - from Kern County to the Oregon border. Members range from small, rural, and frontier hospitals to large, urban medical centers representing more than 38,000 licensed beds. Prior to joining the Hospital Council in 2005, Mr. Sponseller served for six years as Chief Operating Officer for the California Hospital Association (CHA). Prior to CHA, Mr. Sponseller served for 14 years at the Hospital Association of Southern California. Mr. Sponseller has 40 years of healthcare experience, including 17 years specializing in personnel and labor relations matters.
A frequent lecturer and speaker, Mr. Sponseller was an adjunct faculty member in the Masters in Health Administration programs at the University of Southern California and the University of LaVerne.
Mr. Sponseller received his B.B.A. degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1972 and his J. D. from the Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University in 1983. Mr. Sponseller is admitted to the State Bar of California but is currently inactive.
